Schedule Your Alignment Interview

This required 10-minute conversation is designed to confirm mutual fit and ensure your expertise is positioned accurately inside the HBA ecosystem.

  • Clarify your ideal advisory or executive placement

  • Capture your Expert Spotlight recording (used for your visibility)

  • Discuss your areas of expertise and the types of companies aligned with your values, time, and goals

  • Answer questions about Advisor Fellowship pathways, expectations, and next steps

When there is alignment, we create a formal Advisor Profile for you inside the Health Board Advisors ecosystem.

This allows founders, operators, and investors to understand your expertise clearly and engage you intentionally — whether that’s for advisory input, structured consulting conversations, or deeper involvement.

When engagements involve your time and expertise directly, those are compensated based on scope and structure.

Why We Do This

Our ecosystem doesn’t operate like a typical advisory “network.”

Most experienced healthcare leaders don’t struggle to find opportunities.

They struggle to find the right ones.

We diagnose your strategic value, match you with aligned startups and capital partners, and stay engaged through a full-circle co-creation model — ensuring every placement honors your time, your expertise, and your long-term impact.

We showcase your expertise to the companies that actually need it — not just the ones collecting logos.

As an Advisor Fellow, you’re not volunteering expertise.
You’re leveraging it at its highest level of performance, credibility, and appreciation.

What Advisors Say After Experiencing HBA

“I’ve been part of other organizations, and they don’t come close to this. The exposure to healthcare innovators and investors — and watching ideas become real, investable solutions — is what makes this powerful. An idea only matters if it’s nurtured in the right ecosystem.”

“Between our individual networks, it’s huge… our collective network might be everyone. If we can’t do it here, where can we?”

"I get invited to a lot of those kind of networks, and 3 things really stood out. #1 was the people. It wasn’t just the performative, we’ve got different ethnicities and backgrounds — it was diversity of thought, of life stage, of skill set... I was blown away by that. #2 After the first one, I was so excited for the next one. That doesn't happen to me often... usually I’m like, "ugh, another meeting I’m not even going to turn on my camera." #3 There was a sense that people were there with purpose. It felt valuable. Not random or chaotic... I actually thought: this is worth my time.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this interview for a specific job or company?

No. This is an alignment conversation to determine ecosystem fit and how — or if — your expertise should be positioned across HBA’s advisory, executive, and visibility opportunities.

Q: Why is an interview required to join HBA as an Advisor?

Health Board Advisors is an invite-only ecosystem, not an open network.

We receive 10–20 advisor applications every day from experienced clinicians, operators, and executives across healthcare.

Our team personally reviews each resume and LinkedIn profile, then selectively invites only the most aligned, high-caliber contributors to interview.

The interview exists for two reasons:

First, you deserve to be positioned alongside the most promising and innovative healthcare companies, not placed into generic advisory roles that underutilize your expertise.

Second, the startups we support — from early-stage to growth — deserve access to advisors who are not only qualified, but aligned in values, experience, and capacity.

This conversation allows us to ensure the fit is right on both sides.

Not everyone who applies is invited to interview.
Not everyone who interviews is accepted.

That selectivity is how we protect:

=The credibility of our advisors

=The quality of opportunities inside the ecosystem

=The outcomes for the founders we help grow and fund

Q: Is there a cost to join Health Board Advisors?

There’s no cost for the alignment call or to be approved as an advisor. Everyone starts with a complimentary seat, and we also cover the professional editing of your advisor spotlight video. Deeper participation is optional and only considered after a clear background and credential review to protect the integrity of the ecosystem.

Q: How is HBA different from traditional advisory networks?

We don’t stop at introductions. HBA remains engaged through positioning, placement, and execution — ensuring expertise leads to outcomes, not just titles.

Q: What happens after the interview?

If there is mutual alignment, the next steps may include a background check, onboarding, and thought leadership press releases. Not everyone who interviews is accepted, this protects the integrity of the ecosystem.
